    一、大赛背景

    当前,人工智能(AI)技术正在变革甚至重塑信息传播格局、新闻传播教育与艺术创作边界。为深入贯彻落实国家人工智能发展战略,进一步引领“高调性、高审美、高品质”的AI影像创作方向,推动新闻传播教育转型发展和AI内容生态升级,williamhill英国威廉希尔主办“全球大学生智能影像创作大赛”,致力于汇聚AI影像创作青年人才,打造聚焦智能影像赛道的大学生交流及产教融合平台,探索人机协作的伦理与创新模式,实现“技术研发-人才培养-研究应用”的跨界对话与合作。

    三、参赛对象

    全球高校在读本科生和研究生,或毕业时长不超过一年的优秀创作者,均可报名参赛。允许1-5人组队参赛。

    四、赛道设置

    本次大赛共设立五大主赛道:

    (一)AI·文化”——立足传统文化的“两创”影像表达

    本赛道鼓励参赛者以“两个结合”为创作旨归,展现非物质文化遗产、传统节庆、历史典故、民间技艺等优秀传统文化魅力。作品需平衡文化传承与创新表达,增强受众参与感和体验感,实现“以AI赋能,传承创新”的创作目标。

    (二)AI·上海”——立足上海的主题影像传播

    本赛道鼓励创作者聚焦上海独特的城市风貌、经济活力、人文历史、市井烟火、展现上海的历史底蕴与现代魅力,打造既具有城市特色又饱含在地人文温度的作品。作品需展现上海的城市特色与文化底蕴,体现AI技术的创新性与前瞻性,实现“以AI为媒,展示上海”的创作目标。

    (三)AI·即梦”——立足技术的智能影像生产

    本赛道鼓励创作者大胆探索数字生命、星际文明、技术奇点、未来生活等前沿命题,通过视觉实验重新定义人类对未来的想象边界。作品需深挖未来设定背后的哲学思辨,引发受众对人类角色、生命本质、科技伦理的深度反思,实现“以AI为笔,绘梦未来”的创作目标。

    (四)AI·与光”——立足社会万象的影像观察思考

    本赛道鼓励参赛者以创新视角探索当代社会的核心议题与未来变革可能。作品需兼具人文关怀与技术批判性,展现社会发展的复合图景,在视觉叙事中引发对技术与社会关系的深度思考,实现“以AI为光,观照现实”的创作目标。

    (五)AI·短剧”——立足讲故事的剧情影像创作

    本赛道鼓励创作者打造角色性格刻画细腻、画面意象表达清晰、叙事风格明确且价值输出精准到位的短剧作品。作品需为3分钟左右的完整剧情短片,或1分钟多集连续短剧,充分释放技术在交互叙事、动态生成、多模态融合等方面的技术潜能,实现“以AI为镜,触动灵魂”的创作目标。

    五、奖项设置

    (一)组委会大奖

    各赛道头名获组委会大奖,共5项(最佳社会思考、最佳文化创新、最佳未来想象、最佳城市表达、最佳剧情创作)每项2万元奖金(税前)根据作品质量适度调整奖项设置,奖项可空缺,宁缺毋滥。

    (二)各赛道入围、提名奖项

    视作品整体情况在各赛道内分设入围奖、提名奖若干。

    入围奖:各赛道评选10项作品入围。预计50件左右。

    提名奖:基于入围作品,各赛道评选不超过5项获得提名奖,奖金2000(税前)。预计25件左右。

    (三)优秀指导教师与优秀组织奖

    根据各赛区提报作品情况评选优秀指导教师与优秀组织单位共各10名(家),奖金5000(税前),并颁发荣誉证书。

    六、报名材料与要求

    1.作品完成时间。参赛作品需为202491日至2025831日期间完成的原创作品,不论是否已在平台上公开发表均可报名作品内容应遵守相关法律法规,不得泄露国家机密,不得侵犯他人隐私。其他赛事获奖作品不得重复投稿。

    2.作品技术规格。视频作品需利用生成式视频技术完成至少1分钟的影像,MP4MOVAVI等主流格式,1080P及以上,提交时需注明所用AI生成工具及其版本。字幕(包含对白、旁白和解说)须有英文字幕。作品横竖屏不限。

    3.作品提交。参赛人员需于通知发布起至83122点将所有报名材料上传至大赛系统。报名网址:……(详见作品投稿要求)

    4.原创声明。大赛组委会尊重和保护原创设计,对抄袭剽窃行为零容忍。提交参赛的影像作品必须为原创,如因此引起与第三方的纠纷,责任由作品报送方承担。

    5.版权归属。作品可包含创作者署名,但不得有明显商业水印;作品版权归创作者所有,主办方有权在非商业性宣传和展示中使用作品。

    The 1st Fusion Global College Students’ Intelligent Imaging Creation Competition Call for Entries is now Open

    Background

    Currently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is transforming and even reshaping the landscape of information dissemination, journalism education, and the boundaries of artistic creation. In alignment with China’s national AI development initiatives and to foster international exchange and high-quality AI-driven visual storytelling, the School of Journalism at Fudan University is organizing the 1st Fusion Global College Students’ Intelligent Imaging Creation Competition. The competition aims to advance the transformation of journalism and communication education while enhancing the AI content ecosystem. It seeks to bring together young talents and establish an international platform for student exchange and industry-academia collaboration on intelligent imaging. Additionally, it will explore ethical frontiers and innovative models of human-machine collaboration, fostering a cross-disciplinary ecosystem that connects technology R&D, talent development, and practical applications.

    Eligibility

    Entrants shall be students who are currently enrolled at a college or university worldwide, or alternatively, outstanding creators who graduated within the past year. All entrants shall participate as teams of 1 to 5 members (team leader included).

    Competition Categories:

    The competition consists of five main categories:

    1. AI·Culture — Creative Expression of Traditional Culture through AI Innovation
    This track encourages participants to explore the integration of traditional cultural preservation and innovation. Participants are invited to highlight the richness of intangible cultural heritage, traditional festivals, historical anecdotes, and folk crafts. Works should aim to balance cultural continuity with innovative reinterpretation, enhancing audience engagement and immersive experience. The goal is to empower cultural heritage through AI for preservation and innovation

    2. AI·Shanghai — Themed Visual Storytelling Centered on Shanghai
    This track invites creators to explore Shanghai’s unique urban landscape, economic dynamism, cultural heritage, and local life, capturing both the city’s historical depth and modern charm. Works should highlight Shanghai’s distinctive identity and cultural richness, while also reflecting the innovative and forward-looking potential of AI. The goal is to use AI as a medium to vividly present the spirit of Shanghai.

    3. AI·Dreamina — Tech-Driven Intelligent Imaging
    This track invites creators to explore cutting-edge topics such as digital life, interstellar civilizations, the technological singularity, and future lifestyles, pushing the boundaries of human imaginations about the future through visual experimentation. Works should deeply explore the philosophical reflections underlying these futuristic settings, sparking reflection on the role of humanity, the nature of life, the nature of life, and the ethics of technology. The goal is to use AI as a brush to paint dreams of the future.

    4. AI·Yuguang — Social Panorama-based Image Observation and Reflection
    This track invites participants to explore pressing issues of contemporary society and potential future transformations through innovative perspectives. Works should blend humanistic insights with critical reflections on technology, portraying the complexity of social development and inspiring deep contemplation on the relationship between technology and society, achieving the goal of using AI as light to illuminate reality.

    5. AI·Micro Drama — Storytelling Through Intelligent Narrative Imaging
    This track invites creators to craft micro dramas with detailed character portrayal, clear visual expressions, distinctive narrative styles, and well-defined value proposition. Submissions may take the form of a complete short film of around three minutes, or a serialized drama with one-minute episodes. Participants are encouraged to fully harness AI’s potential in interactive storytelling, dynamic content generation, and multimodal integration — achieving the goal of using AI as a mirror to touch the soul.

    Awards Setting

    · Organizing Committee Grand Prizes
    The top entry in each track will receive an Organizing Committee Grand Prize (five awards in total: Best Social Reflection, Best Cultural Innovation, Best Future Imagination, Best Urban Expression, and Best Dramatic Creation) with a monetray award of 20,000 RMB (pre-tax). The prize setting may be adjusted based on the overall quality of submissions. Any track may be left vacant if no entry meets the standard.

    · Track Finalists and Winners
    Based on the overall quality of submissions, each track will feature several finalists and winners.

    Finalists: Up to 10 entries will be shortlisted in each track, for a total of approximately 50 works.

    Award Winners: From among the finalists, up to 5 entries per track will receive the winner award, each with a prize of 2,000 RMB (pre-tax), totaling around 25 works.

    · Outstanding Mentor and Outstanding Organization Awards
    Based on the submitted works from each region, outstanding mentors and organizations will be selected, with 10 awards given in each track.  Each award includes a prize of 5,000 RMB (pre-tax) prize and an honorary certificate.

    Registration and Entry Requirements

    1. Work Completion Time: Submitted works must be original creations completed between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025. Entries are eligible regardless of whether they have been publicly released on any platform. Content must comply with relevant laws and regulations, must not infringe on others privacy. Works that have previously won awards in other competitions are not eligible for submission.

    2. Technical Specifications: Video works must use generative video technology to produce at least one minute of footage. Accepted formats include MP4, MOV, AVI, and other mainstream formats, with a resolution of 1080P or higher. Submitters must specify the AI tools and their versions used. Subtitles (including dialogues, narrations, and commentaries) must be provided in English. Videos can be in either landscape or portrait format.

    3. Work Submission: Participants must upload all registration materials to the competition system between the announcement date and 10:00 p.m. on August 31. Submission website: … (Please check out submission guidelines).

    4. Originality Statement: The organizing committee respects and protects original creations and maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted works must be original. The submitter will bear full responsibility for any disputes arising with third parties.

    5. Copyright Ownership: Works may include the creator's name but must not have prominent commercial watermarks. Copyright remains with the creator,  while the organizer reserves the right to use the works for non-commercial publicity and exhibition purposes.
